Megan Lloyd-Laney is the Director and co-founder of CommsConsult, a consultancy that specialises in all aspects of strategic communication for development which has offices in the UK and Zimbabwe. She has been, at different stages of her career, a science journalist, a policymaker, an NGO development worker and a trainer.

Her focus is the communication of evidence, supporting programmes and organisations to be more purposeful, strategic and effective in getting evidence heard and used by those in positions of power. She has worked as a Communication Advisor for the UK government’s Department for International Development (DFID) and advised a wide range of clients including Mastercard Foundation, Lego Foundation, Oxfam, Commonwealth Secretariat, and the Anti-Corruption Resource Centre. She has conducted numerous evaluations of the policy uptake and impact of multi-country, multi-partnership, long-term research programmes and recently wrote strategies to improve the uptake of UNHCR and UNICEF’s evaluations.
