Digital engagement
A key shift over the last decade has been the rising rates of digital connectivity experienced by young people in low- and middle-income country contexts. GAGE is exploring adolescents’ access to mobile phones and the internet, and the ways in which this access differs based on age, gender, location, poverty, marital status and disability.
GAGE research is also investigating the ways in which adolescents are engaging in the digital environment, including information seeking, recreational purposes, interacting with peers, activism and income generation.
