

Foundations | West Africa
Foundations is a multi-year programme focusing on adolescent sexual and reproductive health rights in Mali, Niger and Sierra Leone (2019-2027) led by Save the Children Canada and funded by Global Affairs Canada.
GAGE is conducting a longitudinal qualitative assessment of the programme in partnership with research partners in all three focal countries to inform adaptive programming.
The sample includes 564 adolescents in baseline (193 in Mali, 173 in Niger and 198 in Sierra Leone). Health services research- 30 adolescents in Sierra Leone and 35 adolescents in Mali .Audio diaries were conducted with 22 adolescents in each round for both SL and Niger, and 21 in Mali. In addition, the research team is conducting key informant interviews with service providers, community and religious leaders and focus group discussion with male and female caregivers.
