Reflections on engaging adolescents in research at the Arab Adolescent Forum

GAGE researchers Professor Bassam Abu Hamad and Dr. Nicola Jones presented their reflections on engaging adolescents in research. In October,  the Arab Adolescent Forum 2023 aimed to build a regional movement as a ‘Call to Action’ for Adolescents, to mobilise political and financial commitment for better policies, programs, and financing to address young people’s needs.

At the Arab Adolescent Forum the following took place:

1. Presented gaps and shared new evidence on multi-sectorial approaches to adolescent wellbeing in the Arab region.
2. Engaged adolescents in the Arab region, including those most left behind in both the development and humanitarian contexts.
3. Call for Action for financial and political commitments to ensure better policies, programs and financing for young people’s needs in the region.
