The Makani approach in Lebanon builds on lessons learned from previous integrated initiatives to reach vulnerable children and cushion the impact of the multi-layered crises which affect different aspects of children’s lives and well-being. The Makani centres provide a holistic package of services through a community-based approach to reach both Lebanese and non-Lebanese vulnerable children in host communities, collective, and informal settlements.

The GAGE study in 2026-2027 will explore the opportunities and challenges young people in Lebanon face in accessing quality education, health, psychosocial and protection services, and assess the relative effectiveness of multi-service centres in meeting young people’s multi-dimensional needs.
