Adolescents and the climate crisis
GAGE's research on climate change addresses the unique experiences of adolescents and young people in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and humanitarian contexts in the face of climate crises. By highlighting the intersecting layers of vulnerability that adolescents experience based on their gender and age, as well as their socioeconomic, disability, geographic or refugee status, GAGE findings showcase how climate-related risks impact multiple domains of adolescent well-being. GAGE research also shines a light on the climate justice movement and provides evidence related to girl and youth engagement and activism.
