Resourcing girls’ movements

GAGE’s research on girl- and youth-led movements explores how girl- and youth-led organisations and movements operate and investigates their positioning within the ecosystem of gender equality and social change efforts. The evidence base monitoring and measuring the
impact of girls’ movements and activism is fragmented, nascent, and pays limited attention to the unique position and capacities of adolescent girls in relation to processes of social change and gender justice. Additionally, despite growing interest in localised movements, girl-led organisations and movements remain severely underfunded. GAGE research explores and addresses these gaps.
