Age and gender-based violence
GAGE’s research on age- and gender-based violence explores the many forms of violence that adolescents experience, at home, at school and in the community. These range from sexual and intimate partner violence, to corporal punishment from caregivers and teachers, to ‘eve-teasing’ and harassment in their community.
GAGE pays careful attention to differences in these experiences, whether between girls and boys, host and refugee communities, adolescents with and without disabilities, and married and unmarried adolescents. GAGE is assessing which interventions work best to reduce adolescents’ exposure to all forms of violence.
