SDGs
GAGE’s research on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework investigates how challenges faced by adolescent girls and boys, and youth more broadly, are reflected across the Agenda 2030, accompanying SDG indicators and respective data collection efforts. To achieve the pledge to ‘leave no one behind’, the SDG agenda calls for tailored and disaggregated data collection to allow an intersectional understanding of inequality.
GAGE findings highlight the broad unavailability of such data, as well as the scarcity of gender- and adolescent-and youth-specific indicators. GAGE analysis provides recommendations to bridge this critical gap and highlight the ways in which young people should be considered more explicitly in order to deliver on the promise of the SDGs.
