Beyond a general recognition that persons with disabilities are disproportionately affected by conflict and forced displacement, there is limited evidence on physical and mental health risks facing young people with disabilities in humanitarian settings. To address this evidence lacuna, this article examines the effects of conflict on the physical and mental health of young people with pre-existing and/or conflict-acquired disabilities in Gaza, paying particular attention to intersecting risks based on gender, age and location.
